Cherry Pie

WE SUGGEST THIS HONEY FOR THIS RECIPE:

Perfect for those who cherish natural flavors and quality ingredients.

Ingredients:

For the pie crust:

  • Ready-made pie crust sufficient for a double crust pie (to fit two 9-inch pie plates)

For the cherry filling:

  • 2 lb bag of frozen organic cherries, thawed

    1/2 cup of blackberry honey

    1/4 cup of arrowroot powder

    1 teaspoon of sea salt

    1 teaspoon of cinnamon

1 teaspoon of freshly grated nutmeg

    Directions:

  • Preheat your oven according to the instructions on your pie crust packaging or your favorite homemade pie crust recipe.

  • Prepare the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed cherries, honey, arrowroot powder, sea salt, cinnamon, and freshly grated nutmeg. Stir the mixture until all ingredients are well incorporated.

  • Assemble the Pie: Pour the cherry filling into one of the prepared pie crusts, spreading it evenly.

  • Prepare the Top Crust: Top with your choice of crust over the filling. I used a cookie cutter for a more creative design.

  • Bake: Follow the baking instructions provided with your pie crust, or if you're using a homemade crust, bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 45-55 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.

  • Cool & Serve: Allow the pie to cool before serving to let the filling set. Enjoy your delicious homemade cherry pie!

This cherry pie recipe brings out the best in every bite, thanks Collett's Blackberry Honey.
